The villa is a dream, with all the comforts, and it's handy for Acquaviva sea, the Zinzulusa cave, and Castro. But what really stood out was the welcome from Filippo and his sister Cristina. They were so warm, friendly, easy to talk to, and always around if we needed anything. I hadn't been welcomed like that before, not even on our honeymoon. Thanks again to them both. My daughter was treated like a queen, so I'd happily recommend staying here with little kids too.

The bathroom was the main problem. We came back from the beach and found an accessible bathroom we hadn't been told about, with a standard-height toilet, a bidet spray, and a shower without an enclosure. That's not what we'd booked. We expected a regular stay with ordinary bathroom fixtures, and I wouldn't have accepted that room at the normal price without a discount. I raised it the next day because it was late when we arrived. They said we'd been informed, which wasn't true. First I was told three other rooms had the same bathroom, then the owner changed his story and said ours was the only room left and the only one with an accessible bathroom. I asked for a discount and was refused, then they eventually took just 10 euros off. It felt deeply unfair. NEGATIVE

Coming back in the evening and sitting in the garden, which feels like a little oasis, was wonderfully peaceful. The B&B is also well placed for reaching the most beautiful spots around Salento. Filippo and Cristina make the stay, welcoming guests with that warm, friendly Southern Italian manner. The new building feels inviting, the rooms are bright and spotless, and breakfast comes with homemade treats. Cristina is known as the "cake fairy," and Filippo has plenty of ideas about where to go and what to see. It's a lovely place to relax, enjoy the food and quiet, and be looked after by them both. We left the unpleasant parts of life behind for a while. See you soon, Mimmo and Donatella (Bergamo), June 2018.

We had such a good time that I'll definitely come back and recommend it. Filippo and Cristina, who run the place, are wonderful, and it's good for four-legged friends too. The property is new, quiet, and very clean, with a really good breakfast. Its location also makes it easy to get to lots of places.

Cristina's cakes at breakfast were especially good, and the breakfast overall was excellent. The place itself is new, lovely, and clean. Cristina and her brother Filippo are both exceptional people. I'd recommend staying here, since its location makes it easy to explore the most beautiful parts of Salento.
