The uphill walk was a little tough, but the view at the top made it worthwhile. I really enjoyed staying at this Garni, especially the breakfast, with all the different kinds of fruit.

The room was large and had a TV and a lovely balcony view, and I appreciated how quiet it was. Breakfast was included and okay. I did need a fridge, which they hadn't considered. Remember that checkout is at 10 a.m. There is also a small local hotel fee to pay.

The corridors smelled a little, though the rooms themselves were fine. We booked two rooms for two couples at €60 per person per night, but ended up with one four-bed room at €70-75 per person per night. The owner, who seemed to handle reception and everything else, said the other rooms were gone, even though a large sign at the entrance said “rooms available.” The prices seemed to change every minute. It felt like a jungle, so avoid it as much as you can.
