The roads for pedestrians and cars were covered in snow in the morning, making it hard to get around. There were no lights outside at night, and there was no reception to help or respond to needs. The cleaning staff simply put the key in and opened our door around 8 a.m., without knocking. The rooms were cold, even for me, and sometimes the water wouldn't get cold. There was no shampoo or shower gel, just a hand soap that left my hands dry as rocks. The walls were thin, so every movement and laugh from Italian guests seemed right in our heads, and highway noise nearby was easy to hear. Our booking said breakfast was included. Staff said there was no breakfast because it was off-season and there were few visitors, while also saying they were fully booked. There wasn't a single nearby restaurant or a working vending machine to get even a biscuit. We called the number on the handwritten arrival note over 13 times, texted and emailed for more than an hour and a half. The phone service said the number couldn't be reached. Eventually the owner arrived and claimed she hadn't received any calls. I've never encountered staff this dishonest. Avoid at all costs.

The chalet out back was beautiful, and we were moved there from the double room we'd booked without paying extra. But it didn't feel finished or ready for guests. There was no kettle, and when we asked for hot water, we felt like a nuisance. The bathroom didn't have soap either. Those are two pretty basic misses for a three-star hotel.

The garden was a nice feature, with games for kids, and breakfast was well served. Still, this was poor value for money. We booked a family room for one night in July 2023 and arrived around 4:30 p.m. There was only a handwritten note on the entrance asking guests to call a number to announce their arrival and check in. It was a foreign number for us. For over an hour and a half we called repeatedly, sent an SMS and emailed. After more than 13 calls that the phone service said couldn't get through, the owner finally responded and came to the hotel, then said she hadn't received our calls. The room seemed like a double room forced to serve as a family room. One mattress was larger than its basic metal bed frame, so the bed sagged in the middle. The pictures show it. The furniture and bathroom need updating, and the shower head was broken. The terrace was shared with two neighboring rooms.

The hotel manager was incredibly kind when I lost my wallet in a nearby city and called the police to ask what we should do. That's the sort of kindness that makes me want to return. The staff were super friendly, and when they found out our son loves bananas, they literally got some just for him. The rooms were thoroughly clean, without dust or mess, and cleaned right after we came back from breakfast. Breakfast itself was great, with lots of variety and good coffee. I'd definitely come back!

Our window looked out on a breathtaking view, and the room was amazingly clean. The hotel is close to lots of interesting places, too. From our first day, everyone treated us with the kind of kindness you'd show family, which we really needed with our curious little baby. Thank you to all the staff, they deserve so much. Highly recommended.
