Agriturismo I Galli

A very relaxing spot with that North Italian countryside beauty. The old stone farmstead sits in the middle of Nature and the Langhe Dogliani vineyards, and it's only a few minutes from the Barolo vineyards. They also make a small amount of Dogliani Wine, but it's really great. I'll come again!

Giovanna is always so kind and helpful, and her son Olmo is too. I hope to visit them again soon! The agriturismo has a really relaxing feel, and would be lovely for a holiday in any season, from snowy winter days to summer with its refreshing high-altitude breeze. It's a fantastic place in the beautiful Piedmont mountains.

The photos and reviews made Agriturismo I Galli in Dogliani (Cuneo) look beautiful, which makes this a real shame. We ended up finding somewhere else through Booking.com. I wanted to book a weekend there with six friends, but we needed to know how the rooms were arranged, since we weren't sure whether all of them slept 3-4 people. As I've done before, I messaged the property through Booking.com to ask. Nobody replied. I then called yesterday and was told to try in the afternoon, then to call again today. When I called this morning, the answer was, "We don't respond to emails sent through Booking." (Crazy!) The man on the phone was very rude. He said all the October weekends were booked. I pointed out that Booking.com showed availability and that I just wanted to clarify the bed layout. He snapped, "Then book on Booking," which was exactly what I was trying to do, with a clear idea of what I was booking. I have used Booking.com for years and found it super-efficient and reliable. This time, I couldn't complete the booking, not because of Booking.com, but because of how the property managers treated me. The Booking.com Help Center itself asked me to share my concerns, and confirmed that this behavior was unjustifiable toward both a customer and Booking. What a shame.

We got a really warm welcome, and the breakfast was superb. The people here are genuinely lovely, and everything was in great condition and fully equipped. Our room was perfectly clean. A lovely green spot, with rooms and apartments that would suit a couple, family, or group of friends. Thank you, and wishing you lots of luck for the future! We'd happily come again.
