We travel a lot, and this lovely little inn in the heart of Dolceacqua gave us a wonderful way to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. Our room had a hot tub and a terrace facing the Castello and mountainside. It was full of character, clean, nicely decorated, and well appointed. Every morning began with a cheerful “Buongiorno!” from the kitchen staff. Breakfast had lots of choice, including fresh fruit, croissants, pastries, yogurt, cereal, cappuccinos, and omelettes made wonderfully. The owner, front desk team, and maid were all friendly and helpful. They went out of their way more than once to find bus schedules for nearby villages, arrange taxis since we don't speak Italian, and promptly and cheerfully help with anything else we asked for. You can tell this family run hotel really cares about hospitality. I'd highly recommend it, and would definitely stay again.

Parking in the quiet upper lot was the easiest choice, just a one- or two-minute walk from the hotel through the old town's narrow streets. The building has been tastefully renovated while keeping Dolceacqua's old-world charm. Staff were delightful, friendly, and helpful. Our modern room was spotless, with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast offered plenty of variety, including a hot egg option, and the bread was delicious.

The rooftop breakfast came with a lovely view of the town, castle, and bridge. We had homemade cakes and scrambled eggs made to order. Monika the landlady did a fantastic job with the design throughout this gorgeous B&B. Getting to the property takes some figuring out: Stefano showed us where to park, since spaces are hard to find, and then we walked through the narrow streets because there's no straight access. The cleaning and waiting staff also deserve a special mention for their politeness, kindness, and great work.

Breakfast up on the roof, looking out at the castle, was such a lovely part of our stay. The two employees were so sweet and really wanted us to enjoy the moment. The room had a lot of charm and was beautifully decorated, with all new equipment and a tidy hot tub. We were greeted so warmly and got lots of helpful attention. Loved it. I can't imagine a better spot for a romantic vacation in dolce acqua.
