It's quiet and bucolic, almost like being in a little bubble for a while. Up in the hills around Cagliari, there's sometimes a light breeze to cool things off, so bring something warm if you're staying overnight, as it can get cold. Everything was well prepared, and the staff were kind.
We were at a wedding at Villa Ballero and I found out, as I always end up doing in my line of work, that the service was handled by the team from Rocca San Vincenzo. The location was great, but the service was even better. Everyone was super friendly, attentive without hovering, and ready to help. Giancarlo, the maitre, explained all the canapés and the menu in both Italian and English, which was a lifesaver. Keep up the great work, guys!
A great spot for a wedding or party, though the rooms were a bit iffy. The hot water pressure was very poor, and there weren't any coat hangers.
Really impressive once you get there, though it's quite a trek to reach the place. A very nice spot.
