Bungalows in Camping Solarium

Being right beside a clean, fairly peaceful stretch of lake beach was the best part, with easy access straight from the site. The pitches are packed closely together, whether you're in a tent, van, motorhome, or caravan, so there's little space to move around. Facilities are sparse: hot showers and toilet paper both cost extra, and the shop has very little, though the bakery sells a small range of food.

The pitches were packed caravan to caravan, with almost no privacy, and the campsite looked quite poor. On arrival, the host was already shouting at us about moving our caravan. I asked him to calm down in the same tone he had used with me, and he told us to leave. We'd decided by then that we wouldn't stay anyway, given how we were treated. Absolutely crazy. We'd rather stay home than camp here.

Our three-year-old was made to feel part of things, and the owner always looked after him. There's a little playground too, which made this a great choice for a family trip. The family running the campsite were welcoming, service was a real priority, and they learned our names quickly. It's right by the water, clean, and very affordable. I'm really happy we chose it for our summer holiday.

Alessio and his brother made us feel welcome from the first day and took such good care of us. We ended up making a friend, so leaving was hard. We'll be back!
