We took the boat to Como for a day, a relaxing 4.5-hour trip, then came back on the faster hydrofoil, which took just 1.5 hours. If you have the time, I'd choose the slower boat. Domaso is a few minutes' walk away, with good shops and restaurants, and the boat terminal is about 10 minutes from the site. At reception there's a small coffee area and shop, and you can order fresh bread the day before to collect from 8am. The staff were really helpful and friendly. We spent three days here in June 2025 in our campervan and found it very comfortable. We were on a tight schedule and should have stayed longer. It's a small site, so booking ahead and arriving early gives you the pick of pitches, either lakefront or further back. The areas are open plan with no dividers, hedging, or posts to mark boundaries, so getting on with your neighbours helps. The pitches are quite compact, though I honestly wouldn't mind where I ended up. The bathroom area is modern and very clean, but bring your own toilet roll. There's direct lake access, and the site is dog friendly. Our Labrador Adie enjoyed swimming there. There are also washing facilities for cleaning and airing clothes. At night, some traffic noise from Domasso is audible, but we found it acceptable. That's the trade-off for the convenient location, and we'd be very happy to return.
