Domus Residence

This was our second stay at Domus, and both times have been perfect. The rooms are large, the beds comfortable, and some rooms have a kitchen. It's great value for money. You're right in the heart of the Old Town, just behind the main square, yet it's perfectly quiet. Highly recommended.

We couldn't sleep because of loud music and shouting that went on until midnight. It felt like a party hostel, and the walls are so thin you can hear everything. There was no hot water in the evening, just cold showers, and the staff showed no accountability or care. Never again.

The hotel is near lots of great cafes, bakeries, and restaurants, and the WiFi worked well enough for video calls. Our room had free bottles of water, a nice touch, and the host was quick to answer our questions. It's been recently remodeled and looks great. The entrance wasn't as obvious as I'm used to, so finding it on foot was a little tricky, but once we found the door, everything else was easy. The beds are firm, though I'm an American who prefers a soft bed. The hotel will soon have bikes for guests to use.

A handy base for visiting the mountains, right by Domodossola's main square. The place is newly refurbished and clean, but very small and not especially comfortable. Driving there can be confusing. The staff were helpful, though not especially friendly.
