Club Esse Palmasera Village

We had a wonderful stay and would recommend the resort. The location is stunning, and the restaurant staff were so warm and welcoming. Maria took the time to explain everything clearly and made us feel at home. Alessio, the lifeguard at the swimming pool, was kind and professional, and really made our day. The weak point was reception. We weren't greeted warmly, and the information we received was wrong: they sent us to the hotel's info checkpoint, which was closed. The reception team should have known that.

UPDATE: I can't reply to the hotel's response, so I'm updating my review instead. My rating has gone from 3 stars to just 1. Thanks for the prompt, thorough reply, but I was shocked by it. You may be technically right on every point, but a business still needs to meet demand and listen to its guests. At the time of this review, the hotel had an “Average” 3.6 rating on Google, Tripadvisor, and Booking.com, with hundreds of reviews repeating the same complaints. You can dismiss those reviews and tell people like me we're wrong, or you can read the feedback and stop acting so “surprised.” Your website advertises entertainment, but doesn't say that loud music, with an even louder MC, carries across the entire resort until after 11 pm every single day. I'm not going to tell you how to run the business. Your reputation, finances, and shareholders will do that. ORIGINAL REVIEW: The pool was nice, and the resort is near a good range of restaurants and bars. The hotel was clean and had a general holiday feel, but it didn't live up to a four-star rating. There was no WiFi in the rooms, no irons or dryers, and no tea or coffee sachets. In 2025, that was annoying, even if it didn't ruin the holiday. Breakfast and dinner were very basic, with limited choice, and the coffee was awful for Italy.

The breakfast team in the restaurant made each morning special, and the hotel staff and locals were lovely once we made an effort to chat. A word or two of Italian really helped break the ice. Big thanks to Manager Antonio for his valued service, and to the reception staff and breakfast team. We'll be back soon. Our 10-day holiday ended last night, and we'd booked a Superior Double Room, but the room we got didn't seem superior at all. Once we raised the problem with the Manager, they handled it very well. A few days later, when rooms became available, they gave us a reasonable choice, and we picked the best room beside the exclusive pool. It was lovely. The food was bland, though with over 400 rooms, mass production was hard to avoid. I'd book B&B and go into Town for authentic Sardinian hospitality. There are plenty of basic places serving tasty food and wine.

I couldn't get a good night's sleep here. Every night, from 9 pm to midnight, there was very loud music with a DJ talking and singing over it. It was frustrating for guests trying to rest, and felt disrespectful to the local community and neighborhood. If you want somewhere peaceful for an early night, this isn't the place. The mattress was uncomfortable too. I could feel the springs, and had back pain all day. Breakfast was a letdown, with very few healthy choices, and the WiFi didn't work in the rooms, which was inconvenient and frustrating. For me, the stay was uncomfortable and the hotel didn't deserve more than three stars.
