Hotel Ispinigoli

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a beautiful spot, with a great restaurant and super friendly staff. It was lovely seeing the area around the Golf of Orosei.

The dinner was the best we had in Italy, with excellent wine and olive oil. Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the location was beautiful. The staff were helpful and had everything well organized. Thank you!

The restaurant made the week for us. We ate there five times, and apart from one dish, every starter, main, and dessert was a hit. The prawns were the best preparation I've ever had; the fish gnocchi, crispy-skinned pork, grilled calamari, soft-boiled egg with pecorino, and donkey meat were standouts too. We also tried the €50 tasting menu one evening and highly recommend it. Prices were very reasonable, with the priciest main at €20 and starters no more than €15. Matteo was great at suggesting dishes and wines for us Franco/Anglophone guests. With a 21-month-old, dining out isn't easy, but the spacious terraces and wooden horse helped us keep our hyperactive little one occupied and tired. We were a couple with our 21-month-old, staying for a week, and the whole experience was a success thanks to the wonderful extended family at the Ispinigoli hotel/restaurant. The staff were ADORABLE. We'd read reviews saying they could be a bit cold, so arrived with some concerns, but they felt like family. We asked them for advice, chatted with them, and they were so patient with our baby. They even gave us a gift when we left, which touched us deeply. We'll treasure it back in Belgium. Special thanks to Matteo and Marie for helping, advising, and looking after us all week. Two families own this beautiful place, and the amazing team makes it feel like paradise. Our room was comfortable beyond words, impeccably clean, and had a spacious bathroom with all the hooks and amenities we needed. The terrace gave us a panoramic view and was a lifesaver for tiring out our little one. There was air conditioning and an outlet at each bedside table, which mattered to us. The only small drawback was the wooden doors, which don't block much sound; our neighbours may not always have appreciated our baby's difficulty settling to sleep. The hotel sits among olive trees and other plantations, with a breathtaking elevated view. It looks new, is beautifully maintained, spacious, tastefully renovated, and modern. We also came across a gym while walking around, though we didn't use it. It's right next to the Ispinigoli cave, a tourist attraction. Breakfast had lots of choice: cold cuts, cheese, ricotta, yogurt, cereal, plenty of pastries, fresh fruit, hard-boiled eggs, and excellent coffee made by Pietro.

We stumbled across this place during our trip, and what a find. The view is amazing, and everything was exceptional: the food, our host, and the homemade red wine from their own winery. Unexpected discoveries really are the best. Don't miss it.
