Palazzo Cherchi

The rooftop terrace has lovely views, and the rooms have been carefully restored with modern comforts. It's a beautiful, authentic period home in a well-located town, with dramatic mountains and coastline close by and plenty to do. We were warmly welcomed, and after someone in our group left something behind, our host went to a lot of trouble to send it on to our next stop. We'd happily stay again if we return to this wonderful part of the world.

The views alone made the stay worthwhile. It's a beautiful, distinctive hotel, and the staff welcomed us really well. I'd recommend staying here.

The rooftop balcony and terrace were the best part for me. Starting the day with that view or watching the sunset with a glass of wine was amazing. I recommend the hotel for a two to three day stay in the area, and I'd love to come back. It's a historic hotel in the city center, and the old building's character has been preserved with antiques and other objects from the past. There's a shared room on each floor, so it feels spacious, as do the guest rooms. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The antique interior does have drawbacks: the mini fridge was too small for our things, and the old Italian sockets meant we couldn't plug in all our appliances. Breakfast was okay, with boiled eggs, some muesli, two kinds of meat and cheese, fruit, and baked goods. For the price I expected more from an Italian breakfast, though it was enough to eat healthily for three days.

The terrace at sunset was stunning, and the place was lovely for recharging and enjoying life in a special, beautiful little Italian town. This was our favorite stay of the vacation in Sardinia. It's a beautiful home full of thoughtful details, and I'm still dreaming about our room. The bed was very comfortable and everything was spotless. Maria gave us helpful ideas for activities and restaurants, and she was a great host. All the women working there were friendly and welcoming. I'd recommend it to anyone, 10/10!
