What made the location special for us was being so close to the lake. We could enjoy quiet mornings by the water and spend the day swimming, paddleboarding or simply relaxing with a view. The campsite also had a fun programme of entertainment that worked for kids and adults alike, which was a nice surprise. Everything was spotless and well maintained, making everyday things like showering and cooking easy. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend it to families or anyone after a clean, well-run campsite in a beautiful setting.

The site is large but surprisingly quiet, even when busy. There’s a lot for families: two children’s pools, a small water park with slides, a playground, a restaurant and a poolside café. The animation team ran activities, and we enjoyed logging into Netflix on the satellite TV. Laundry costs extra. Other charges to keep in mind include seven euro for eight hours of air conditioning, a possible 150 euro deposit and tourist tax. We stayed as a family of four in the Maxi Caravan Betula, advertised at 37 square meters. It was brand new and very clean, with a fridge, microwave and dishwasher in the kitchen, plus a modern bathroom and shower. There was also a veranda with sunbeds and chairs, sheets and towels, and four Wi-Fi codes. But it felt much smaller and more compact than the photos suggested. The caravans are so close that you can practically look into neighbours’ verandas while they eat, which makes it feel cramped and short on privacy. Checkout was disappointing. We spent about one and a half hours cleaning the caravan ourselves, including the fridge, dishes, floors and bins. That didn’t feel like a four-star experience. Bring mosquito repellent too. We enjoyed the facilities, but the crowded layout and checkout cleaning meant it didn’t quite meet our expectations of a four-star stay.

We pitched our tent for a week in July. The showers and toilets were clean, and the facilities were great. Our daughter loved the big playground, while the swimming pool was just right for children. The animation team were brilliant, and the mini disco and shows were fun. Staff were always friendly and helpful, and the campsite had a real holiday feel. There are some big supermarkets nearby. We didn’t get to explore many local highlights, so perhaps we’ll return. It was noisy, though that seemed to be more because of the nearby airport than the campsite itself.

The campsite itself is neat and fairly quiet, and the staff are very friendly and speak English well. The new pool has enough sunbeds and grassy spots, with the children’s area nicely divided from the big pool. The two slides are great. We spent most of our time by the lake, where there’s a pleasant bar, beds and SUPs for rent, friendly staff and affordable prices. The miniclub was nice too, and the restaurant worked well for lunch and dinner. We’d come back for the campsite. Score 7.5/10. We stayed in a Hybrid Lodge, a caravan with an attached tent. The idea seems good, but in its current setup I wouldn’t recommend it. The 1.80 bed is too big for the room, with only 15cm on one side and at the end. Clothes are stored above the headrest, so you have to climb onto the bed to reach them. A 1.60 bed would fit better and leave space for another storage cabinet. The bed frame is loose, so every time you turn, the bed shakes like a rollercoaster. There’s hardly anywhere to put things in the bathroom, just two tiny shelves under the sink, and the shower cubicle is so small you can barely turn around. Yet there’s room for two beds in the rest of the bathroom, which feels like wasted space that could be laid out more practically. The children’s bedroom and the outdoor seating area were fine. The kitchen is tiny, like a full-size Ikea children’s kitchen, with no workspace, only a sink and gas stove. There’s no coffee machine in the inventory either, so you have to buy a percolator for 5 euros. The Hybrid Lodge isn’t worth the money.
