The B&B is easy to reach from Gravedona by bus, with a stop right outside. If you're driving, don't trust Google Maps for the last stretch. Follow the main road to "Dosso del Liro" unless narrow sloping streets and thrills are your thing. Three sisters have lovingly and tastefully restored their grandfather's old mill, giving it a new life with a real sense of the place's art and history. The carefully furnished rooms still feel historic, while the bathrooms are modern and the Wi-Fi works well, for anyone who needs it. Melissa and Selima were so welcoming, with homemade cakes and liqueurs, plus practical tips and recommendations for the area. Thank you! Lago di Como has lovely hilltop finds beyond the promenades in the pretty lakeside villages. B&B Il mulino di Aurora is definitely one of them.

Melissa was incredibly kind and made us feel like we were visiting an Italian aunt. She cooked a lovely breakfast and was also a great guide to the area. The mill is a peaceful spot on the hillside above the como lake, with quiet surroundings and panoramic views. The old family mill and bakery has been tastefully restored and brought back to life by the owner's daughters. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a rustic, peaceful stay in the hills of northern Italy.

The host couldn't have been kinder, and breakfast was homemade and delicious every morning. Tucked away in the hills, the place feels like a peaceful hideaway, full of lovely antiques and like a little time capsule from an earlier era. Pure bliss.
