La Masseria Casa Vacanze

The setting is quiet and picturesque on a hill, with breathtaking views. From the lower apartments the sunrises are stunning, and from the biggest one the sunsets are just as good. There’s a large fenced garden for children to play in, and the pool is right beside the house. It’s cleaned every morning, with enough space and depth for kids to swim and play safely while adults relax on the sunbeds. We stayed in the biggest apartment, which easily fits six people with its three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen feels a little small for a group that size, but there’s a private BBQ outside by the porch. The porch and terrace are great places to unwind after a day out. The highway is close and easy to get to, and cities worth visiting, including Sienna, Lucca, Pisa and Florence, are all within an hour’s drive. The owner is friendly, speaks good English, and is quick to respond to messages. She gave us useful answers and tips for less touristy outings, including vineyards and hikes. We really enjoyed our time at this beautiful “casa.” Our boys cried when it was time to leave, and we’d love to return. I fully recommend it for a great holiday in Tuscany.

We had a really enjoyable week. Communication was good, paying the deposit was easy, and the owner was there when we arrived to hand over a clean, tidy property. A few small things could be improved: basic supplies like foil, oil, salt and pepper; a decent bbq; and a gas hob that would light. It had no spark, there were no matches, and the gas lighters left by earlier guests were empty. There were only three covers for the four pool recliners, and the table tennis bats needed replacing. The house is on the flight path for Florence airport, with three-way traffic in the mornings and late afternoons. That was great for a plane spotter like me! Really, not much would be needed to make this five stars. I’d recommend the place.

Saida is always kind and ready to help. The place is quaint and peaceful, with kitchen utensils and towels and sheets provided. It’s a great fit if you want a large garden and pool to relax in surrounded by nature, while still being near the city for whatever you need. Highly recommended.

The owner is very kind, and the apartments are welcoming and really clean. The typical Tuscan view around the masseria makes for a relaxing stay. I’d recommend it for a quiet holiday, with Florence, Siena, Lucca, San Gimignano, Volterra, and other villages reachable in 30 minutes.
