The valley and nearby villages are spectacular, but the accommodation is poor value. It’s called a “hotel” on the main building, though it barely feels like one. You’re charged extra for linens, cleaning, and gas cylinders for cooking, and the gas we got wasn’t even enough to boil water. You also have to bring your own toilet paper. The place is run-down, with dated fixtures and obvious leak marks on the ceiling. I wouldn’t recommend it.

I wasn’t feeling well during what turned into a terrible stay. There was dirt and mold, and the landlord wasn’t transparent about reservation guarantees or how credit cards and pre-authorizations were handled. He did it all secretly and unlawfully, which left us worried about the security of our cards. If he wanted a deposit, he could simply have asked for one. I’ll say no more, but this was a very poor experience.

The owner was extremely rude, and we ended up fleeing the room. Since it was high season, we could only find somewhere for one night, so we had to head home early. Inside, there was dirt and cobwebs under the bed, dirty blankets, cracked walls, and peeling plaster. The bathroom window was always left open without a mosquito net, and its door was a folding plastic one. Unclassifiable.

After seeing the room, we asked for our money back and went somewhere else. The building was in disrepair, and the room was filthy and smelled musty. When we asked for help, our requests were ignored, and the owner was openly rude. Then came the affected manners when it was time to pay in advance. Disgraceful. Avoid it.

The location is remarkable, and the asylum seekers staying there were kind, but I can’t recommend the place. Extra charges weren’t disclosed beforehand and had to be paid in cash without an invoice. The bathrooms are dilapidated, the electricity unreliable, the lighting poor, and the fridges dirty and mold-covered. There’s no restaurant, despite what the booking site says. The owner was absent and rude. Avoid.
