We came with the extended family, and the restaurant terrace has a spectacular view. The place is popular locally, so on weekends it can get busy, especially when people from nearby Verona come up to escape the summer heat. Booking ahead is a good idea. They’ve also recently opened an aperitivo spot right by the road, a nice place to pause for a drink. The food was very good overall: the Canederli were the one first course we weren’t keen on, while the Gnocchi di malga and Spatzlen (gnocchetti verdi) were excellent. The meat dishes we tried were good too, and portions were generous. Service was a little slow, and we had to ask more than once for the same thing. It also wasn’t clear who among the staff was handling what. Still, it’s a good place for a day out of the city or a restorative stop during a mountain trek.

The food was a mixed bag for us. My tris of canerdeli was good, and my son's pasta, ragu d/anatra, tasted nice, but the portion was tiny even for an 8 year old. He was still hungry and ate half of mine. My husband's polenta with mushrooms was fine, though nothing special, and seemed a couple of euros overpriced. The service felt inattentive; I had to track someone down just to order a glass of wine. The menu has a nice range of Veneto and Trentino specialities, and the restaurant is charming inside. Best of all, the views are stunning, like a postcard.

The whole valley looks splendid from the restaurant, and the location is lovely. Inside, it’s stylishly decorated. What really surprised us was the food: so delicious and with dishes that felt truly special, unlike what we’ve found elsewhere. Bruno, the host, was kind and helpful, and everyone here was so kind. Highly recommended.

The food at La Stua is fresh and local, and absolutely delicious. The rooms have just been renovated to a very high standard too. If you’re in beautiful Lessinia, don’t miss it.

Come hungry, because the food is delicious and there’s plenty of it. The quality and quantity were both great, the price was very good, and the service was excellent. I recommend it.
