I Mulini Resort

There are some good things about the hotel: the property is beautiful, has a pool, and offers private parking. Most of the staff were friendly. But we didn’t get the superior room we’d booked. We talked it over at length with the receptionist that evening, but couldn’t get a different room because the hotel was full. The room we were given didn’t come close to the design shown for the booked room. I’ve attached a picture of our yellow bathroom and a picture of the room from the website for comparison, since tastes vary. The staff member said we’d booked at a cheaper special-offer price, so it wasn’t so bad, and that we could now see the sea. That felt like early birding, and the room category we booked shouldn’t change. I’ve never had this happen anywhere in the world before. The sea view sounds nice, but the wind blew every day and the window was poorly insulated. Sleeping without ear protection was impossible. There were old stains on the walls and floor, so we always wore slippers. The pool was unusable for five days because of the constant strong wind. It was technically permitted to use, but not comfortable. The hotel can’t control the weather, but the pool wasn’t much use when we couldn’t use it. You can sometimes hear the neighbors, too. It’s an older building with charm, but there are ways to improve that a bit. And at breakfast, a panini that isn’t nearly hard would be great.
