Sogno Siciliano Turismo Rurale

Agostino was super friendly and hospitable, and the homemade buffet breakfast with typical Italian food was amazing. The bed was so comfortable I slept like a baby without any trouble adjusting. Our Labrastaff had a very nice stay too, and we’re excited to come again. The place is in the countryside, with hills around and nice paths to walk. There’s a horse at a nearby neighbor’s place.

Sogno Siciliano was a wonderful place to stay. Agostino and Sara are a warm, welcoming couple who were always helpful with questions and needs, and they’re very good cooks. It was lovely to come back in the evenings, order tasty local food at a reasonable price and eat on the spacious terrace. I could also use the kitchen to make tea. My room had a balcony, its own shower and toilet, and a lovely view. Getting to it meant climbing a small spiral staircase, which gave it a cozy, private feel. I thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would recommend it to anyone traveling in the area.

The quiet setting was a lovely part of the stay, and the food and hospitality made it even better. Agostino and Sarah were wonderful hosts. They arranged dinner for our first night, including antipasto and pasta for the second course, with a vegetarian meal for me. We enjoyed it so much that we ate there every night. Much of the food came from their garden or Sarah's kitchen, and the antipasto changed each evening. The men especially liked the pork knuckle on night two, while we were all speechless over the spinach and ricotta cannelloni on our last night. Since March was still cool, we came back each evening to a log fire and homemade wine. Breakfast was a good start to the day, with meats, cheeses, fresh sweet pastries, and generous coffees. The country location made it easy to get around western Sicily, from the coast to inland places around Corleone. It was a real Sicilian agritourism experience.

The views all around the house were lovely, and we felt thoroughly looked after. Augustino and Sara were wonderful hosts during our one-night stay in their comfortable home. Breakfast was full of homemade things, including jams, yogurt, eggs, cheese, pastries, juice, and cakes. We were treated like royalty.
