Marchese Del Grillo

We only stayed one night while passing through, and I wish we'd had more time in the area. The older building is fun, the rooms have lovely design, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful too. A very pleasant stay.

Breakfast was impeccable, with lots of sweet and savory choices, and the service there was good. The rest of the stay didn't live up to what the hotel's website promises. We were traveling through and stayed only one night, but were put in a side building that was nowhere near as glamorous as the main one. My single room was old fashioned and needed some care. For a four star hotel, I didn't expect a rusty bin or a cracked shower floor. One plug didn't work, and I slept terribly because I could hear other guests snoring through the chamber walls. I also tried to use the pool the evening before, but it was closed and had restrictions I hadn't known about. The website didn't mention that I needed to reserve or wear a bathing cap. That's not the luxury it shows. Twice we needed reception and couldn't find anyone: first to report the empty shampoo container in the shower, then after breakfast when we wanted to check out and had nowhere to leave our key. No goodbye, nothing. This place doesn't offer the grandeur or good service it claims. Some maintenance and TLC are badly needed.

I was greeted very warmly by reception when I arrived for a work trip, and the staff made the stay as pleasant as possible. The restored villa is finished to a high standard, and my room was very comfortable. Breakfast at the restaurant was great, the service was perfect, and dinner was delicious. I'd recommend the Vincigrasso. A lovely hotel for anyone visiting Fabriano for work or a holiday.

I was there for my cousin's wedding. Absolutely beautiful.
