Great owners, and our dog was welcome too. The forest is only a few steps away, so Roma could explore off leash. The views are lovely, and each bedroom has a wood stove with firewood supplied. A little gem. We’ll be back.

The views from this apartment are extraordinary, looking out on two sides over Lake Como, the hills, and villages, with nobody overlooking you. I’m not sure I’ve seen a place with a more beautiful outlook. It’s furnished in an attractive old style. Binoculars are provided, and the WiFi was 30Mbps. The apartment is in an old converted house high on a hill. Our lively host met us in the village, where parking was difficult, and showed us her private parking spot. She then drove us and our luggage up the very narrow lanes in her 4x4 Fiat Panda, and took us back down on checkout. Parking cost 3 Euros per night, and the city tax was 1.50 per person per night, payable in cash at checkout. Breakfast was a good buffet laid out on the landing table. It’s about a 10-minute walk down 300 cobbled steps to the very small village, and around 20 minutes back up.

Michaela was so caring and did everything she could to make us feel comfortable. She kept our luggage after checkout until we returned to pick it up before heading to the airport. Thank you, Michaela, for such warm hospitality. We won’t forget our stay anytime soon. Holiday Home Liliana is at the top of a small village, about a 20-minute drive from Como, and the views from every window are unbelievable. Our spotless room had everything a family might need, including a full kitchen and balcony. There’s no air conditioning, but Michaela brought us a fan when we asked. Breakfast was homemade, delicious, and different each morning, with plenty of variety. There’s convenient private guest parking in the village centre, and no ZTL in the area, so don’t worry. It’s a great base for exploring Lake Como and the surroundings. 10/10, would recommend!

The owner is always available to help and drive you up or down in her own car, since you can’t take your own car there. You leave it in a parking lot about a seven-minute walk away. There isn’t a lot to see or visit nearby, but the view is amazing and the value for money is hard to beat on Como. Worth the price.
