The wellness area was beautifully designed and relaxing, and there was a well-chosen wine list. The food was a highlight, and the view from the hotel was breathtaking. I booked through a bike park website, so it was disappointing that bike storage was quite limited. Parking at the hotel and access to the garage were limited too, and the garage cost extra. During meals, communicating with staff was difficult because of the language barrier, and they often seemed reluctant to help. I also got the impression staff talked about guests among themselves. The cuisine and wellness area were lovely, but better communication and more bike storage and parking would have made the stay more enjoyable.

The staff at reception and in the hotel restaurant had a great attitude, and breakfast was very good. There’s convenient indoor parking close by. The hotel was very clean, with a great spa area, a heated pool, and an outdoor jacuzzi for guests.

If you're coming only for the spa, the facilities, staff, and atmosphere deserve 5/5. The spa really is fantastic, and the food was good. The hotel is comfortable overall, well connected to lots of trekking paths, and only a short drive from the slopes. But the slopes are not “in front of the hotel,” as they told us by email. There’s a serious gap between the website photos and the actual rooms. At arrival, they called our room an “upgrade,” even though it wasn’t like the one I booked. I politely asked the owner to explain. They said, and I quote, “yes there was indeed a mistake, giving you the upgrade.” I asked to see other rooms, and none of the four I saw matched the website photos either. When I asked why, the response was, “I don't have enough space on the website to show everything I have.” So yes, the room was an upgrade compared with the others I saw, but it still wasn’t like what they advertise. The mattresses were extremely uncomfortable, which made sleeping very difficult. There was an Illy coffee machine in the room, and we were told coffee was free. We expected that in a 4 stars hotel, as we’d had in every other hotel we’d stayed at. At checkout, we found we’d been charged 1.2EU per coffee, more than a bar would charge. When we asked about it, they removed it from the bill. That experience makes it impossible for me to give more than 2 stars, which is a pity because this is a really nice hotel in other ways. With the right changes, and by selling it for what it is instead of what it isn't, it could really claim those 4 stars. For now, unfortunately, that's not the case.

My family and I spent the weekend here after some friends, who had stayed several times, arranged our reservation. They told us the hotel was full, but said we could use a nice apartment 200 meters away and still have access to the spa and restaurant. We were quoted 720€ for the weekend, plus tourist tax. When we arrived, the receptionist said a room had opened up, so we'd be staying at the hotel. She didn't mention any change to the price. The woman checking us in was quite unfriendly and seemed keen to get rid of us quickly. My husband and I thought it was rude and not what you'd expect from a 4 star hotel, but we didn't want to spoil our short break, so we carried on with the stay. The hotel itself is comfortable, with clean, nice rooms, good food, friendly restaurant staff, and a proper spa. At checkout, though, things went wrong again. I was waiting behind a guest who complained that his room had been cold on arrival. The same unpleasant woman who checked us in on Friday said the temperature could easily be adjusted. He explained that the heater had been switched off manually, so the control panel wasn't working, and the room was at 16 degrees when he checked in. Even after he explained that, she didn't apologize or show any sympathy for what had happened. Then it was my turn, and they produced a bill for 1153€. I said the amount was clearly wrong. She told me that the 720€ price I expected was for the apartment, not the suite we'd been given at the hotel. I explained that nobody had told us there would be an extra charge for staying at the hotel. We had simply been told at check-in that we'd be staying there. She gave several explanations and muttered to a colleague that for some unclear reason she hadn't wanted to “prepare the apartment.” I assume it wasn't ready and was cold, so getting it set up cost more than using a free room in the hotel. That's fair enough, as long as you don't ask guests for a 50% price increase at checkout. In the end she insisted I pay 100€ as the “minimal hotel rate.” I paid after an unpleasant 20-minute discussion, but honestly regret it because the fault was clearly on the hotel's side. If you're expecting 4 star service, don't come here. There are plenty of friendlier places to stay in Trentino.
