Lion's Hotel

We stopped late on our way south from Rome, and the easy access from the highway made that convenient. They welcomed us graciously. The room was adequate and comfortable for a good night's sleep before an early start. It may not be a typical hotel for foreigners, but they were so nice, and the price was affordable.

This small family hotel is clean, and the staff are very, very friendly. It’s not luxurious, but it’s a perfect place to rest. The beach is close, clean, and has seats and umbrellas available. There’s an elevator, a swimming pool, and a balcony with a sea view. Breakfast is good for a three-star hotel, with fresh coffee and warm croissants. If you’re looking for parties, shops, or restaurants, it’s not the right place without a car. There’s no walking path to the nearest towns, so going out for an evening party on foot is a bit of a challenge. If your taxi or Uber falls through, the owner can drive you and your family when needed, which is actually amazing.

The beach is right across the road, and there’s a pool to enjoy too. Falerna Marina is only a 10 minute walk away. We spent 6 nights at the Lions Hotel and would definitely return. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful, and they speak English. Breakfast and dinner were very good, and they cater for Gluten Free.

Breakfast was light and just right, and the room looked out over the hotel's beach and pool, with plenty of seating. We stopped for one night on a road trip and picked the least expensive room that could fit 3 guests. We were tired and ready for bed, but the staff were extremely kind anyway, and even spoke English. Though it was late, the hotel offered to make us dinner. The food was good and the service went above and beyond. It was well worth the money, and we’d stay again.
