The rooms were clean, and the staff were nice. The included breakfast was pretty good.

The hotel looked pleasant when we arrived with the kids, and it’s clearly been renovated and kept in good shape. But we’d picked it for the pool, and it wasn’t open yet. The website described it nicely, with the note about it being unavailable tucked into small print, as reception later pointed out. In my view, that was a clever choice. With strong winds keeping us indoors, finding things to occupy the children was hard. Parking was another problem. It would be handy to get to the rooms straight from the garage, but there weren’t enough spaces for the guests, so we ended up parking meters from the hotel. Breakfast was decent the first morning. On the second, the tables hadn’t been cleared, the buffet was empty, and one waiter was left to handle everything. The children’s menu was sparse, and asking for a simple salad from the daily menu seemed to throw the kitchen and dining room into disarray. I don’t blame the staff, who seem to be let down by a poor system. Around €200 a night for a triple room with these amenities feels excessive to me.
