We’ve stayed at Hotel De La Ville three times now, and it feels like family. Lucca is a wonderful host, and his restaurant at Hotel Augustus is amazing. We can’t say enough good things about the hotel. The rooms and location are perfect. A wonderful boutique hotel!

4/10
The location is good, the price is reasonable, and the rooms are clean. Staff were helpful, and the restaurant was reasonably priced. Nights can be noisy, though. Breakfast is poor, usually cold, and has little selection. You also have to cross the road to another hotel for it.

I didn’t like having to cross the road to another hotel for breakfast. The cleaning lady also arrived before checkout time.

There was no hot water during either of the two days we stayed, and we didn’t get an apology. At checkout, the clerk acted as if she didn’t know about it. After I insisted, she took 5 euros off the 70-euro nightly room price. Sorry, but even 65 euros a night is way overpriced when you can’t shower for two days. A big downer.

The family runs the place, and there’s a good restaurant downstairs. Rooms and bathrooms were clean, and bikes were available to rent for free. It’s cozy and a nice spot for a short holiday if you’re not looking for a luxury hotel.
