Hotel Ruhig

The payment arrangements left us really upset, and I wouldn't recommend staying here. My friends and I booked three rooms for a week, but the deposit for all three was taken from just one room. Staff told us to "sort ourselves out," so we asked to split the total bill equally among the six guests. They said they needed an exact receipt for each room and couldn't divide the amount by six because that would produce a different figure. It wasn't a pleasant stay overall, as I'll explain in other sections. The beach is right across from the hotel, with a bathroom, a patio with tables and chairs, ping pong, and foosball. There's also a small pool. The train tracks are behind the building, but we didn't find them bothersome and didn't notice trains at night. There is only one elevator for the whole building, and at times the wait was long.

Walter, the night porter, deserves a special thanks for being friendly and professional. Malica at reception was knowledgeable, kind, and charming, and Elena was a meticulous waitress who always smiled. The staff were friendly and knew their jobs. The hotel is right on the beach, which was clean but a little small. The restaurant was clean too, with top-quality food. The appetizer buffet was a bit sparse, but good. Recommended.

Walter, the night porter, and Cinzia at reception were especially helpful and professional. Both were wonderful and attentive to what guests needed. We spent 15 days at the Ruhig with our family and had a great time. It's on the seafront along a pedestrian street. The rooms were always tidy and carefully cleaned. Breakfast was plentiful, though there could have been more savory options. The staff were cheerful and attentive, including to one of us who has celiac disease. The price was fair and competitive for the services, with no surprises compared with the quote, which I appreciated.

Cinzia at the front desk and Eduard, who served our meals with a smile, deserve a special mention. They were polite and efficient, and the whole team was lovely. We stayed with our family during the last week of June and had a very pleasant holiday. The rooms were clean, the food was excellent, and the staff were friendly. Thank you, we had a great time.
