Masseria Don Sante

The home-cooked meals were wonderful, with proper Puglian food, and the setting outside Fasano among the olive trees is beautiful. Lots of dogs and cats around! Staff were super friendly and the service was great, including taxi and shuttle help. The rooms are basic but good, though the beds were extremely soft and bouncy(?). The walls are thin, and the doors block no sound at all. We had corridors and shared spaces on three sides of our room, which wasn't great, and we could hear other guests in their rooms. The breakfast buffet had a bit of an odd selection but was good. The tea water comes out of a coffee machine, so it tastes horrible.

What stayed with me most was how clean and charming everything felt. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere, but the staff really made the experience: they were warm, attentive, and did so much to make our stay memorable. I had a wonderful time.

We loved every bit of it, especially the food and the service. And the dogs were adorable! Everything gets a 10/10 from us.

The lunch was wonderful, and the people and setting were lovely. Breakfast was less impressive: I would have liked more breads, spreads, and cereals to choose from. The rooms were simple and minimalist, but new, fresh, and equipped well enough. There are trade-offs to staying on a working farm. The surroundings are beautiful and it feels authentic, while farm equipment can be noisy during the day and what seemed like around 30 dogs barked at night. All in all, I had a good stay and thought it was good value.
