Giacomo’s passion really came through, and our group thoroughly enjoyed the tasting. He explained how olive oil is made and how to recognize a high quality one without getting bogged down in details. It was long enough to teach us a lot, but didn’t take over the day. Exceptional experience, and I’d highly recommend the tasting if you’re in the area.

One of the best parts of our Puglia trip. Giacomo didn’t try to sell us oil at the end or push us to buy anything. The experience didn’t feel touristy at all. He seemed to want to share accurate information about something he’s spent his life perfecting. His website also has a list of good restaurants, and we tried a couple and weren’t disappointed. We found him on Google and contacted him on WhatsApp. He replied very quickly on a Saturday morning and arranged a time for us. Driving there was easy, as was parking. Giacomo is a fifth generation EV olive oil producer and a professionally certified olive oil taster. The tour and tasting went well beyond what we expected. We learned about what affects production, the different grades, and industry standards. The highlight was sitting in a clean, beautifully decorated room to learn how to taste, smell, and feel the differences between the oils. I’d highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area.

We started with a full tour of the family owned olive groves, then tasted five different oils for about 45 minutes. At our request, we also had a look around the beautiful B&B accommodation. The visit finished in the shop, where there was no pressure to buy. We did end up taking home two delicious Extra Virgin olive oils and a hand cream. Giacomo is friendly, enthusiastic, and clearly passionate. His English is very good, British humour included. It was a superb, informative introduction to Extra Virgin Olive Oil production and tasting at Masseria Pezze Galere. He also sent us a guidebook of local recommendations, a lovely touch. This charming masseria is a must do if you’re in central Puglia.

My husband and I had a wonderful tour of the beautiful grounds and a great tasting today. We were welcomed so graciously, and the energy and passion we encountered made the experience special. We learned a lot about olive oil. I definitely recommend this tasting, don’t miss the opportunity!

The blind tasting was really fun, and Giacomo gave us great tips for tasting olive oil properly. He was genuinely passionate about the farm. The olive oil tour was amazing.
