I spent two days at Masseria San Giovanni in late October, on the 25th, and it was unforgettable. The staff made me feel at home right away, and my room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully designed. The property combines modern elegance with rustic charm, surrounded by the peaceful countryside of Puglia. There are signs of history and care in all the details. I loved the quiet moments by the pool and wandering among the olive groves. Even just taking in the calm made each moment feel special. It's the kind of place that makes you slow down and appreciate where you are. I highly recommend it for a luxurious, authentic stay in Puglia.

A few small room updates would make a difference: some soft furnishings need refurbishing, tables need attention when they wobble, and an extra pillow and blanket in the closet would be useful. The electric coffee pot could include tea and perhaps instant Nescafé, and the towels could be newer, softer, and plusher. I travel globally, and those details matter for a comfortable stay. The atmosphere was quiet, peaceful, and almost ethereal, with naturally beautiful grounds and olive trees. It blends old and new perfectly. I can imagine it as a lovely venue for weddings and social events, or for recovery and a proper rest.

The hotel and its people were amazing, and so was the fresh local food, absolutely out of this world. It was my first time on the other side of the Italian Boot. The rugged landscape, old architecture, and olive trees were beautiful.
