Palazzo de Luca

A lovely place, with staff who are charming and helpful.

We booked two double rooms and stayed at this B&B from August 24 to August 27, 2025. Maria welcomed us warmly, was very helpful, and explained the house rules clearly. During our stay she also suggested places to visit. The B&B is a few kilometers from the Safari Zoo and other nearby towns. Breakfast was generous every morning, with croissants, tarts, cakes, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, and more. Anna, who takes care of breakfast, was very kind, and everything was well organized and clean. The corridors and rooms always smelled fresh. The rooms, especially the bathrooms, were very clean, with shiny showers and spotless floors and corridors, thanks to Irene. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and I felt right at home. That only happens when people put their heart into their work. I recommend it.

Parking was already a struggle for us with a medium-sized car, since you have to look for a spot around the square. The building itself looked lovely, with new furnishings, a noticeable scent throughout, and working air conditioning, but the stay went downhill after self check-in. Around midnight, other guests turned the breakfast room into a party with music, alcohol, and a loudspeaker. I didn't want to complain because they had the same right to use the common room, but there was no staff around at all on the night of August 14th-15th, when people were likely to be out celebrating and coming back later. They ignored the signs asking for quiet and left around 2:00, so we did get some sleep. Breakfast was disappointing for €130 a night. We came down at 9:20, and the kind woman who kept us company explained that the croissants, portioned to avoid waste, had already run out. I can't blame her. If you're happy to rush down and compete for the last croissant, this might suit you. For a peaceful night, I'd look elsewhere. We checked in on August 14th and left the next morning.

The rooms were clean and breakfast was good. It's a nice hotel, but there isn't parking, and unloading lots of luggage could be a hassle. If you do find a spot, some residents may not be very welcoming.
