Masseria Le Querciole

We loved the meals here. The food was fresh, local, and clearly made with care, with every meal bringing us more of Tuscany's traditional flavors. We stayed seven nights with my wife, our 18-month-old, and friends who had a little one too. The family who runs the farmhouse made us feel at home right away and were kind and attentive whenever we needed anything. The children were fascinated by all the animals, from goats and sheep to chickens, turkeys, cats, pheasants, ducks, guinea pigs, and dogs. There was also a 5x10 meter above-ground pool and plenty of games to keep the little ones busy. Set in the countryside, the property made it easy to get to the sea, Pisa, and Lucca for day trips. We came away with lovely memories and a really relaxing, fun family stay. Great for families with children or anyone wanting to experience the Tuscan countryside, food, and hospitality.

The location worked very well for our Tuscany visits. We spent a day in Pisa and Lucca, went to the Massaciuccoli nature reserve, visited Siena and San Gimignano, and had a full beach day in Tirrenia. We were here for four nights and enjoyed the half-board option. Dinners were a real part of the stay: guests and owners ate together at a long table in the courtyard, spaced apart during the pandemic. We were lucky to have two barbecues, and all the food was delicious. Breakfast was simple and wholesome, with a hot drink, juice, cake, bread, and toast with butter and homemade jams. The rooms were roomy and clean, with a TV, air conditioning, and refrigerator. Outside, the rustic but elegant grounds are spacious, with animals kept in pens, including goats, sheep, chickens, turkeys, guinea fowl, geese, and ducks. Most of all, the people running this green, nature-surrounded masseria were warm and welcoming. We had a great stay at Masseria Le Querciole and recommend it.

We had a wonderful four-night stay at this family-run Masseria. The staff were so kind that it felt like visiting friends, and the rooms were really clean. We especially enjoyed the delicious dinner, shared around one table with the owners and other guests. It’s also well placed for countryside walks, the sea, and trips to several cities.
