Dimora has kept its distinct character through all the years we’ve been visiting. It’s a hidden gem for people who appreciate its special atmosphere, quiet luxury, farm-to-table food, and beautiful design and furniture. It takes a particular kind of person to value what’s here, the natural setting, and the eye for beauty. It won’t suit everyone, but I find it incredibly relaxing. The staff and the other guests are friendly and welcoming. My husband and I have been coming to Dimora del'Olivastro on and off since 2017, and we’ve always had a lovely time. Francesca is quick to sort out any issue, from electric cars to air conditioning, usually within minutes. We’ve never had a major problem, but she’s responsive and has a wonderful can-do attitude that makes us feel looked after. Highly recommended. Francesca, we can’t wait to see you again!

The setting is undeniably stunning, and the property has a lot of potential. But our July stay was let down by several problems that weren’t handled as well as I’d expect at this price. The air conditioning didn’t work for four of our six nights, during peak summer heat. I know technical faults can happen, but it took too long to fix, and there wasn’t proactive communication. We also had to leave our room twice for maintenance, which disrupted the stay. The most disappointing part came afterward, when I contacted Francesca, the hotel manager. Her response felt defensive and dismissive, rather than recognizing how the issues affected us. I’d hoped for an empathetic, constructive conversation, but the message seemed more focused on deflecting responsibility than guest satisfaction. I’ve noticed other recent reviews mention similar concerns, so maybe ours wasn’t an isolated experience. I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves both responsiveness and guest relations. Favignana is beautiful, but hospitality is also about how guests are treated when things go wrong.

Absolutely stunning, the purest, most idyllic place to stay. Everything is gorgeous, the food is divine, and the rooms are pure comfort and joy. It’s a wonderful way to immerse yourself in Favignana life, with olive oil and fresh bread. It’s yoga retreat heaven too 🙌🏻🧘🏻‍♀️ I’ll be back!

We stayed three nights and had an incredible time. The rooms were meticulously clean and beautifully designed. The hotel is in a great location, surrounded by farmland, with views of the mountains and sea. Everyone was kind and welcoming, including Francesca and the owners, Ginevra and family. They had great suggestions for activities and restaurants. Breakfast was tasty, with cooked eggs, breads, pastries, fruit, coffee, and more. We’ll definitely return and stay much longer!
