Residence Villaggio Cala La Luna

Our suite had a handy little kitchen and a nice view of the western sky for sunsets. The pool was pleasant, if not large, and the hotel is within walking distance of the village center and restaurants. Other rooms seemed less well placed, though, and since the rooms all surround the pool, noise carries. The lifeguard played music very loudly through a huge speaker, so a peaceful, relaxing stay wasn’t possible when it was on. The 10am checkout felt too early. Breakfast was served until 10am, but the serving staff seemed unfriendly and eager to hurry guests out so they could clean up.

We booked directly through the resort website, and they easily accommodated our large group and its varied dietary needs. The staff were professional, courteous, and eager to make our stay memorable. It was a very pleasant experience that left a lasting impression. The resort is lovely and within walking distance of both the Sea Club, which I reviewed separately, and the city center.

The restaurant food was amazing and reasonably priced, and we ate there most nights. The rooms were lovely, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. I’d definitely stay again. I was there for 4 nights for a music festival on the island. The hotel is in a good spot, easy to reach from the boat dock. We got around by bicycle, and there was a lovely beach with a good bar about 5 mins ride down the road. A small supermarket with everything we needed was about 5-10 mins walk away.

The location is handy for walking to the city center, and the rooms are reasonable. Still, the food was mediocre and overpriced, and the toilets smelled and were dirty. They should lose a star and a half from their four-star rating.
