The room and location are good, and the phone service was okay, since nobody is at the house. But it’s really loud: someone opening or closing a door, or just walking to the toilet, can wake you. Someone left around six this morning, and that was the end of my night. I need sleep, not constant noise from other guests, so I wouldn’t book again. It’s also frustrating to pay everything in advance, then be told on arrival to leave 5 euros for parking and 1.50 taxes in the room, with no bill. If a bed and breakfast isn’t offering breakfast, it should change the name. That’s why I dropped my rating from five stars to three.

The host was very friendly on the phone, though nobody checked us in. The location is really good, and the room was extremely big, if not very warm. In late March that wasn’t a big issue. I admit I was a bit skeptical after reading the review, but in the end we appreciated our stay.

The only issue I had was the hot water running out one day after 1-2 mins into my shower. The day before, it had been fine. Otherwise, the large rooms have high ceilings, and you can choose whether to share a fairly spacious bathroom with a bath/shower, sink, and toilet. Breakfast isn’t anything amazing, but it’s enough to get your day started. It’s a great deal for lodging in Ferrara, close to many attractions, and the owner has bikes you can borrow for free.

We booked three double rooms, but on arrival two of them had been changed into one room with four beds. It made the booking experience uniquely uncomfortable.
