I'm writing to the host, who blocked me so I couldn't respond. I planned the trip carefully, but an unexpected technical problem delayed my flight. I've stayed in many places around the world, Italy included, and late check-in has always been sorted out. I've never run into this anywhere. A keypad lock would solve the issue. I accepted that he wouldn't reopen the door late at night, but why wouldn't you let me into my room in the morning? You were home, I saw you. You could have shown some goodwill. And why tell people at the bar that I hadn't paid for the accommodation? That's completely wrong. I've read reviews from other guests who describe similar bad experiences. This place should be banned.

After our bike ride, we reached Fiano Romano tired from all the miles we'd travelled. I'd booked directly with the owner a few days earlier, and when I called, she said the room would be ready soon. Five minutes later she rang back with the bad news: she no longer had our room and had given it to someone else through Booking. That's not how you do business. Fortunately, the bar owners in the square in Fiano Romano helped us find a great place nearby, the ancient courtyard of the Castle. I'm sorry to leave a negative review, but this deserves one. I'd already read about a similar situation, so I strongly advise against booking here.

It's an excellent spot right on the town's main street, near shops, banks, and the bus stop. The café downstairs opens at 5:00 AM, so I could take my time over breakfast before work. I enjoyed meals at Il Gullo and La Coccinella, both an easy walk away, and also tried Il Vicolo in the historic center and the fishmonger's seafood appetizers. Dinzu, a few kilometers away, has delicious sushi too. The shared kitchen has a toaster, juicer, kettle, and assorted herbal teas. I usually keep drinks in its fridge. I got the rental receipt by email. The rooms are impeccably clean, and the people who welcomed me were incredibly helpful. I'm a regular now.

We didn't get the room until 4:30 PM, even though it was supposed to be ready at 2:00 PM. The place sits on a very busy, noisy road. The room also lacked the refrigerator, kettle, and slippers that were advertised. On top of that, the woman insisted on cash and gave us no receipt.
