Floating Dream

We had a wonderfully relaxing moment inside the warm houseboat, sipping tea and looking out at the cold landscape. The place feels intimate and romantic, and the boats are beautiful and comfortably heated. Andrea was kind and very polite, and he stayed attentive to anything we needed. After dinner at the nearby restaurant, where the food was excellent and they played some music for guests, we went back to our boat and weren't disturbed. We stayed at Floating Dream on Saturday, January 10th. Everything went smoothly, including breakfast: Andrea arrived right on time with two fantastic croissants and the drinks we'd asked for at check-in. A one-of-a-kind stay, and one we'd happily repeat.

This isn't a good choice if you're hoping for peace and quiet. The only nearby restaurant plays loud music and stays open until around 2 a.m., which takes away from the tranquil setting the property seems to promise. The photos give the impression of a natural spot, but the property is close to the road, with houses just behind the lake and that restaurant nearby. The package was supposed to include an in-room aperitif, but the manager forgot about it. After I pointed it out, he responded promptly and refunded me.

I've stayed on the houseboat in both summer and winter, and had a great time in each season. Breakfast feels magical, brought right to the boat at the time you choose at check-in. Having coffee while looking across the frozen lake and seeing herons fly overhead was so peaceful. It's a lovely way to get away from traffic, polluted air, phones, and stress, and enjoy the colors and calm of nature. I'd definitely go back. Thanks, Andrea, for this gift. See you soon. The boat is really intimate, and Andrea also provides a few thoughtful extras that aren't listed in the package, like a sink and shower set, a toothbrush and shaving kit, and an 11:00 am checkout. Floating Dream is such a wonderful idea. Andrea, a very young man, brought it to life with enthusiasm, dedication, love, and professionalism, despite all the difficulties involved. I admire young people who keep trying to build a future for themselves in times that are getting harder.

The place has potential, but it felt poorly managed for a winter stay. The facility itself is very nice and clean, but the two heating systems couldn't keep the whole boat warm. The floor stayed freezing, apparently because heat escaped through the large window, which looks lovely but doesn't insulate properly. The bathroom had no heating, and with the outside temperatures so low, the shower quickly turned cold. Halfway through, I had to rinse my hair with water from the tea kettle. Guests should be told if hot water is rationed. The cappuccino and croissant breakfast arrived cold too. When it's cold outside, I'd suggest bringing breakfast over from the bar in a cooler. A nightclub just a few meters away played loud music until 2-2:30 AM. That really didn't fit the "floating dream" we had in mind, and light sleepers should bring earplugs. I couldn't give this feedback to the manager directly because nobody asked me for it.
