The atmosphere felt hostile as soon as we arrived. We got cold looks and condescending comments instead of a warm welcome. The woman running the place was incredibly rude, aggressive, and unprofessional, a nightmare of a host. During a disagreement she literally spat at my mother and hurled vile insults at us for no reason. I've never experienced anything like it. It was shocking and humiliating, completely unacceptable. She has no business working with people and acted more like a bitter tyrant than a human being. Do yourself a favor and stay far away. However desperate you may be, it's not worth it.

We really liked our room, and the welcome was very kind. Breakfast felt thoughtful, with enough choice. There were a few problems, though. The internet was really, really bad, practically nonexistent, and the bed in our room was incredibly old and badly needed replacing. We also had to fight to keep the price we had agreed on. Being asked to pay more left a sour feeling about the stay.

We first came in Aug. 2015, returned in June 2017, and came back again for 8 days in July 2020. The two houses, rooms, garden, and terrace were all well kept, and the setting in the Florentine hills is lovely. Breakfast was very good, and the host-family are charming. Dearly recommended!

The farmhouse owners are charming, and we would stay again. It's a very peaceful, relaxing spot with stunning views. There's a good restaurant a five-minute walk away, and the bus service into Florence from the neighboring village is excellent.

The room was great, and the views were beautiful. We especially loved the pool, with its wide panorama over the hills. Amazing place and fantastic staff!
