Podere San Giusto

The grounds and pool are beautiful, and everything feels peaceful and relaxing. We ate at the restaurant three nights, and every dish and wine was lovely. Locals came in each night too, so you can tell it's good. Our room was airy and very clean, with good air conditioning, a comfortable bed, and a lovely sun terrace attached. The staff were kind and helpful. We thought the restaurant and facility would be full service, but they weren't serving lunch when we arrived in September. We had no food and no car, and the lady kindly brought us sandwiches and snacks. We really appreciated it. You do need a car. They told us, but we left it too late to arrange one in Florence, so we ended up renting locally. I highly recommend Tiripelli in Figline Valnardo, who got us a rental at a very good price. Wow, what an amazing place. We were really sad to leave and would love to come back if we're in the region again.

The terrace view is unreal, and you can hear birds in the morning. The staff are really friendly. The room is cleaned daily and the towels are changed. Perfect location, we'll be back.

The olive oil is really good, and it's made there. We bought some to take home. At the end of dinner they brought us a little glass of "vin Santo". We had a lovely evening in this restaurant in the Tuscan countryside. The outdoor seating is a real pleasure on summer evenings, with the fresh air. The menu is simple, with typical regional dishes and a nice wine selection. The food was good, the staff kind, and service reasonably quick. One small thing to fix: the red wine and vin Santo were a little warm and should have been served cooler.

The small family-run restaurant serves great local food, including vegetables from their own garden. Both the Primi and Secondi Platti were delicious.
