Ai Cinque Campanili

We spent two wonderful weeks here with our family of four and our teenage boys. The hosts were adorable, the rooms clean and comfortable, and the garden had plenty of places to relax and play. The big pool and the amazing views were lovely too. It’s a peaceful haven just outside busy Finale Ligure, yet close to activities like climbing, hiking, and mountain biking. After a day out, the good-quality bedding helped us sleep well. The rooms stayed cool even in the heat, with ceiling fans. We couldn’t have asked for a better place.

The location made it easy to visit nearby villages like Noli, Verezzi, Varigotti, and Finalborgo, and there are plenty of trails to explore if you like hiking or MTBs. Riccardo and his wife are lovely. My partner and I stayed for a week and found it really relaxing. The owners have done a great job organizing and decorating the place. There’s a pool facing the mountains and a proper wooden sauna that you can book in advance at Reception. My partner is Finnish and liked it a lot 😅.

We decided not to stay after the accommodation rejected our booking for the “family room” because we wanted to bring our three-month-old baby. They said children were allowed only if they were over 14, to avoid disturbing other guests and causing potential damage. I found it interesting what kind of damage a baby that age could do. They offered us a room in a separate building as a compromise, but the baby would still have to pay part of the price.

It was my first visit to Finale, and I can’t think of a better place to relax, explore outdoor climbing, and recharge. Riccardo and Doriana were wonderful hosts and made us feel at home. The location is tucked away from the busy towns below, but it’s only a few minutes’ drive to the seafront and a short walk to great hikes and climbing spots. After a day climbing at one of the nearby areas with those incredible sea views, coming back to delicious food and a hot sauna was hard to beat. Highly recommend.
