That little parking area under the hotel is handy when you arrive by car, and the public beach is only a minute away. Hotel Al Capo sits in the prettiest part of Varigotti, and after several visits it’s become somewhere I’m always glad to return to. It’s a modest family-run place, peaceful and full of charm. The rooms are clean, the beds are very comfortable, and the small balconies are a nice touch. The staff are attentive and kind, and I appreciate being able to have the room tidied while I’m at the beach without anyone disturbing me. Breakfast is very good too. Nothing fancy, just an easy place to enjoy the Italian bella vita. One of my favourites!

The service was great, and the hotel is right in the center while still being quiet. But the rooms are really old and you can hear them. Our toilet kept refilling all day and night, with awful noise that left us short on sleep. The place could do with an update. EDIT: We were on the first floor near the stairs. Keep that in mind, because the toilet flush kept us awake.

The rooms are simple but have what you need, and the surroundings are very quiet. It’s a good spot for a few relaxing days. The staff were excellent, friendly, helpful and attentive, and free parking is available too. The hotel is at the entrance to the old town, with the beach about a five-minute walk away.

The owner and staff were so friendly, and the service was excellent. My room was very clean, breakfast was excellent too. I’ll definitely come back.
