Hotel - Bed Breakfast Dei Fiori

I’ve been fooled by this place for years, and I strongly advise against it. Don’t be taken in by the fake kindness. There’s no elevator, air conditioning, telephone, or reception. The shower smells of sewer, and towels aren’t changed when they’re dirty; sometimes they’re simply taken away. Sheets are changed once a week, so on a 10-day stay they may only be changed when you leave the room. Cleaning is basically nonexistent. I had to clean myself or I’d be breathing dust. Breakfast is a buffet, but everything is counted, and if you arrive after 9:00 there’s very little left. There’s also an agreement with "La Taverna del Grontolone" (The Grumpy Tavern), so they make money from that too. For years I booked by phone and was quoted a price. This year I tried booking online and found out by chance that the price was lower. I’d been paying about 7 euros extra per day for a single room, and the same for a double.

I come back to this B&B often because the owner is so kind and friendly. The rooms have been recently renovated and feel clean and welcoming. It’s right on the seafront, just a short walk from the center of Finale Ligure. Highly recommended.

I stayed here in July and again in September. It’s a simple, clean, welcoming B&B, only steps from the sea and the center of Finale Ligure. The staff were courteous, hospitable, and very helpful.

The location is a plus, close to the seafront, but the decor and cleanliness leave a lot to be desired. The rooms are small and the beds uncomfortable. ;) I’m sure I won’t be back.
