We had a two-room apartment with a large corner balcony. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room had a nice Ikea Shabby Chic look. But the rest felt more shabby than chic. The umbrella couldn't tilt, the dishwasher and AC didn't work at first, the washing machine looked like it came from a dump, kitchen doors hung crooked, the fridge doors didn't close properly, and the microwave was missing a leg. The shower was the smallest I've ever seen, and none of the technical things seemed to be in good shape. There were only two free sockets, so we had to choose between charging a phone and using a bedside lamp. You also can't get into the double bed from both sides. Parking was 150m down the road, though at least it was in the shade. We thought the sun beds would be in front of the Residence, but they were 300m away. The beach club "Bagno Clara" was great, but we were disappointed we couldn't walk straight through the Residence to the sun beds as we'd expected. We had a great holiday, but despite the apartment, not because of it. You get what you pay for.

The two-room apartments with sea views are great. We stayed with a small child who loved the playground in the lobby and the several playgrounds on the beach, which I understand are available during the season. The rooms have all the basics, like cutlery, dishes, and a hairdryer, but not consumables such as salt or sugar. There's a small grocery store and a local seafood shop less than five minutes away.

Varigotti was such a lovely base, quiet and easy to explore on foot, with great food and views. We had an amazing stay, and the hosts were incredibly helpful and made everything feel pleasant.

The service was not customer-focused at all.
