Locanda Marita

The location is the strong point, close to the sea, the station, and bus stops. It’s an old-fashioned inn that could use a refresh, maybe with some Ikea furniture, though it wouldn’t take much. The ladies were kind, and breakfast was basic. I’d like to know what the people raving about it in other reviews had seen.

The location was great, with shops and restaurants nearby, right in the city center, and the beaches just 50 meters away. Davide recommended some excellent restaurants. The staff were absolutely lovely, and they were amazing with our 2-year-old girl. We had a wonderful stay, the rooms were very nice, and you can go there without hesitation!

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and breakfast and the helpful service were both excellent. The residence itself could use a tidier, more welcoming exterior. Still, it’s very close to the sea, the equipped beaches, and the historic center with all its handy amenities.

We rented Mrs. Marita’s apartment above the inn for a month, rather than staying in the inn itself. We only peeked at the rooms out of curiosity, but the apartment alone earns a great review. It’s spacious, spotless, set up like a real home, and sleeps four or five. You’re practically by the sea, and it’s quiet, with no disturbance from the Aurelia or the train station. Davide, Mrs. Marita’s son, takes care of everything and was so kind and helpful. We’re already wondering when we can book again.
