We booked for four by mistake even though there were five of us. While trying to sort things out, we decided four would stay and the fifth person would stay separately until we could find a room for all five. The owner said we could cancel without a charge, but then didn’t cancel the transaction and is holding onto our money. I’ll leave my bad review up until I’m reimbursed for the time I couldn’t spend there. Beware of these scam tactics. I’d book somewhere else.

The hotel/B&B is very nice and conveniently located for trips to Milan and Como, but I’m glad our stay was only one night on the way to Como. The rules felt unusually strict: check-out was required by 10:00 AM, and check-in ended at 10:00 PM. A late arrival or departure meant an extra €25-€50. We felt like the owner wanted us gone as soon as possible.

After a nine-hour drive, we were turned away with a baby and a pregnant woman. The owner said we had canceled, but we hadn’t, and the only email we had was the booking confirmation. Even after we showed it, he said there was no room for us. It was very stressful, and it seems he had overbooked the place. I saw another review describing the same thing, so I wouldn’t risk booking here. I emailed him afterward hoping for a reply or apology, but he hasn’t responded. Horrible service. You can’t treat people like that.

The rooms were clean and had a great shower, and the garden with its old trees was beautiful and charming. The owners were very kind, and the cappuccino was tasty. It’s close to the highway and about 20 minutes from Lake Como, making it a perfect place for a short stay.

We got very good service, and there are lots of restaurants near the hotel. The room was really nice and spacious, great for a couple or a family. Parking in the garden under the trees was lovely. Milan is only 30 minutes away, and Genua is two hours away. Thanks for the good service.
