We arrived late at night and the city lights and stars were beautiful. The area was quiet, and there was plenty of parking. We booked the upstairs two-bedroom apartment at the last minute during a road trip, and it turned out much better than we expected. There was lots of room for our family, including big bedrooms. The kitchen had what we needed for dinner, a large dining table, and a spacious terrace with another table and seats. Our only problem was the shower, which didn't have enough hot water. Everything else was great.

The host was lovely and quick to reply on WhatsApp, and we enjoyed the view of Mount Ethna and the morning sun. The location was pretty good for getting to Parcheggio Lumbi and Taormina city center with a short drive. We were five people and booked two small apartments at a great price, expecting them to be close together. Instead, one was in the main building and the other was about 100m away. Going back and forth was a hassle when we wanted to spend time together. That might have been manageable if the remote apartment had internet, but it didn't, and the shower hot water ran out partway through. I'd come again, but would avoid that apartment.

The apartment is old-style but pretty and practical, with lovely gardens around it and a view of Etna. Getting in was a bit awkward. It's also more than 2.5km from the village, so transport is an issue.

A couple of weeks ago, there was some kind of problem, and I still don't know what happened. Nunzia moved us to somewhere else, with a different room and location, about 10 minutes by car from the apartment we'd booked. I felt this was a proper scam. I wouldn't recommend it. I'd rather pay a bit extra and stay in Taormina.

We had a good stay at Oasi. It's listed as an agroturismo and sits on a large farm with lots of different produce, including orange and lemon trees. The kids had a playground and a big trampoline, and the adults could relax in the jacuzzi in the evening with a great view of Etna. Our host was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
