Mike made our stay. He was so welcoming, helped us sort out lots of things, and gave us useful recommendations. The room had everything we needed, even a little fridge, and the place was spotless. We picked it for our first night in Italy after seeing the good reviews, and the location and atmosphere were lovely. It’s handy for the airport for a one-night stop. When we’re back in Rome, we’d happily stay here first and see Mike again. 👌👌

We were left waiting more than an hour before we could get a taxi because the promised airport shuttle wasn’t there. The service was dreadful, and when we asked about dinner, all we got was a takeaway pizza leaflet. The hotel is down a grubby side road with no bars or restaurants nearby. We feel we were lied to. This was the last night of what had been a fine holiday, and thankfully the memories of everywhere else we saw and everything else we did are good. This place was absolutely awful.

I booked this place for an early flight because it was affordable and close to the airport. There’s also a secluded beach just steps away, and across the street you can arrange a car to the airport for only a few bucks. I felt safe, comfortable, and welcomed the whole time. The woman who owns and runs the place was so kind and loving. We bumped into each other a few times around the front desk and lobby, and I couldn’t get enough of her positive energy. It already felt like home, so I’ll definitely return, probably for my first and last night when arriving in and leaving Italy. She also has a cute, spacious apartment building at the front with two or three bedrooms, which would be comfortable for bringing my whole family for a week next time.

Flavia was a wonderful host and told us about Buena Onda, a restaurant bar on the beach just a few blocks away. A restaurant on the beach in Rome! We were staying here for an early flight and were glad we did. The airport was only a short taxi ride away.

The woman working there was really friendly, funny, and nice. My sister and I stayed for one night, and the place was clean with comfortable beds.
