Room # 1 had a spacious layout, with a separate bathroom and dining area, plus a couch/futon for extra sleeping space. The kitchen area was nice, with a sink, microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker, though it needs a deep clean. They left nice snacks and a large bottle of water, and the WiFi was good. The owners can drive you to or from the airport for 20-25 Euros, depending on the time of day. The location is handy, near a supermarket, restaurants, and the canal, and about a 10-15 minute ride from the airport. There were a lot of problems in the bathroom. The fixtures were dirty, the room needed cleaning and repairs, and the sink drained very slowly. I couldn't get a proper shower because the water kept changing from warm to cold to lukewarm. After flushing, the toilet refill tank made a loud, annoying gurgle for several minutes. The provided shampoo was mostly water. The front door's inside handle was loose and came off, although the door did have a safety latch, peephole, and strong three-turn key lock. At first the room looked clean, but I noticed dust and dirt on the surfaces and buildup in the corners on closer inspection. There were hairs from previous guests on the furniture and fixtures, and the bathroom bin already had trash in it. There were only two very small trash cans in the room. The TV didn't work because the reception was too weak, and both remotes were dirty. It was a bit noisy, with planes overhead and people passing or talking outside, though it got pretty quiet after 11pm.
