The house could use some refurbishment, and the decor felt a bit odd to us, though that’s subjective. What really bothered us was finding orders and prohibitions on pieces of paper all over the place. It didn’t improve the experience. The location is handy between flights, which seems to be the case for many guests. There’s a bus to and from the airport for 5 euros, though we walked.

I stayed here between visiting friends in Adria and an early flight from Fiumicino, and it worked well for more than just a short stop. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the owners were friendly and helpful. Restaurants and cafes, some historic attractions, and the sea are all within walking distance. A taxi to Fiumicino is extremely expensive, around €25-30. Shuttle #8 leaves from Communa, costs €1, and gets to the airport in under 10 minutes. Buy tickets at the cafe beside the station, and check its opening hours. For some reason, Google maps doesn’t show this route.

The owner was helpful and replied quickly, and the place had a homey feel, like your grandma’s house in a good way. The bathroom had heating, and there was electric heat under the bedsheet. It’s a 15-20 minute walk to the airport bus stop. We only got one towel for one person, with no hand towel, which really wasn’t enough. There was mold in the shower, which needs renovation, and the bed mattress was pretty hard.

The rooms and furniture were very old, dirty, and a total mess. Mold and mildew covered the shower. We left in the morning without getting breakfast. A taxi for 2 km was very expensive: it cost 30 euros to the airport, and 50 euros from Rome to the airport.
