Getting to the airport takes a L-O-N-G time, and once you add 2 x €8 each way for the infrequent shuttle, it’s almost certainly cheaper to book a direct flight. The room was OK but nothing special, and the surrounding area was all right but uninspiring. The host also tends to be intrusive, sending information little by little over WhatsApp. I can’t recommend it.

The place looked nothing like the photos, felt unclean, and had no working A/C. The beds were uncomfortable, and the only blanket I could find in the closet was stained, so I had to sleep with just the sheets. Breakfast was a packaged croissant and a coffee pod with supplies for instant coffee. I was traveling alone and felt very unsafe with the check-in setup and no manual lock. This is my first Google review, but I wanted to balance the good ratings I saw on several sites for this “b&b.” Communication was impossible.

The balcony door was broken and wouldn't lock, so anyone could have come in. The host didn't meet us, and there were no extra towels or keys. The air conditioning wasn't on when we arrived, despite the heat in Rome. Breakfast amounted to old packaged toast, with no fresh milk for coffee. When I asked about getting to the airport, the host sent a taxi company's number. I couldn't reach them, and they wanted 30 euros for a five-minute ride, so we took an Uber for 13 euros instead. There's a camera in the common area, which made me feel the host didn't trust guests. That’s Amore needs a lot of improvement and doesn't seem to put love into the accommodation. We won't return.

The apartment was very clean and private, with a nice bedroom and private toilet, though there are no frills. The owner was easy to reach by phone or text and sent instructions for opening the four security locks. We enjoyed Bar Carlo, a local pizzeria, and Four Sisters Cafe, all a short walk away. More pastry shops, cafes, and full-menu restaurants are about a 10-minute walk toward the tourist district and Marina. It's a lovely, quaint neighborhood within walking distance of restaurants, the Marina, and sights. Getting a taxi, Uber, or car service for a 5 a.m. pickup to Leonardo Divinchi Airport in Fiumicimo Italy was difficult, even though the airport is only 20 minutes away by car. There's also a nearby bus route.
