This hotel is located only approximately 8 km from the centre of Florence, approximately 15 km from Florence Airport and some 90 km from Pisa Airport. This 16-apartment hotel was renovated in 2010 and is entirely surrounded by the green Tuscan hills. It is fully air-conditioned, and offers a hotel safe and lift access to the upper floors. Guests arriving by car may like to take advantage of the hotel parking. Each of the rooms comes with an en suite bathroom with a shower and hairdryer, and each has a double bed. Standard features of all rooms include a direct dial telephone, TV, Internet access and a safe. Self-catering is provided for with the kitchen equipped with a fridge and a cooker, and each apartment has a washing machine and ironing set. Optimum comfort is ensured by the individually regulated air conditioning and heating, or guests can enjoy outdoor living on the balcony or terrace. From the A1 highway (autostrada del Sole, both from Firenze Nord and Firenze Sud exit), exit at Firenze Sud. Immediately after the toll gate turn right towards Grassina. At the first roundabout, turn off towards Grassina/Antella. After about 1.5 km, at the junction, take the road left towards Antella. After reaching the town of Antella, drive to the main square where the church is, and drive though with the church in the square on the right. Continue straight along the road as it starts to climb, and the hotel is about 200 metres after the road begins to bend left.

I felt at home here, and the staff were very helpful. The apartment had all the conveniences I needed and a quiet atmosphere, and it was very good value. Having a parking spot in the garage was a big help, since parking in Antella can be an issue. I was very happy with my stay.

We had a great two-night stay at the Antella Residence. Our room was really spacious, with two balconies overlooking the town. We arrived late for check-in on the first night, but the staff member was friendly and polite, and still took time to show us around the whole place with a smile. Highly recommended.

We booked this for one night in February while driving back to the UK from Rome. The price and location suited us, though the apartment was more than we needed for a single night and would be better for a longer stay. There’s a sitting room, kitchen, dining area, and large bedroom, with two verandas and custom veneer cupboards with handmade inlay. The building and rooms were very clean, with marble throughout and expensive-looking decor. Getting in and parking took some figuring out. From the road, it wasn’t obvious how to reach the apartment, so we parked outside and went through a locked gate to reception. They gave us a room key and a remote for the electric gates, but the nearest gate wasn’t the entrance. We had to go toward the motorway end and use the other gates. Once inside, the underground parking entrance looked at first like a kitchen entrance, and it wasn’t clear where to park. The lights came on as we drove in, and we found another electric shutter leading to the secure parking spaces. From there, we took the lift to our floor. There weren’t many local places to eat, though there were more a little further away. I’d recommend it.
